Frequently asked questions

How does Sollis work?

Sollis is a concierge immediate care membership that's available 24/7, 365. We offer unlimited access to in-person and virtual care, with a team of clinicians at the ready for everyday, urgent, and emergency care needs. Led by ER-trained doctors selected from the nation's top hospitals, Sollis is on standby for everything from scraped knees to ER-level emergencies with care that's immediate, compassionate, and convenient from first call to aftercare. Every Sollis membership unlocks access to 13 centers (located in New York and the Hamptons, Northern California, Southern California, and South Florida), on-demand virtual care, and global travel support.

What is concierge immediate care?

Concierge medicine is a membership-based healthcare model that gives patients direct, ongoing access to a physician. Immediate care is prompt, walk-in medical attention for needs that require faster treatment than a primary care provider (PCP), and is traditionally provided in urgent cares and emergency rooms. Sollis spares our members the wait, crowds, stress, and surprise costs of traditional immediate care with 24/7 access to concierge medicine for everyday medical concerns (like cold and flu), urgent medical concerns (like infections and migraines), to ER-level emergencies (like broken bones and allergic reactions), keeping our members out of the ER 99% of the time. While we don't offer primary care, we work in partnership with our members' PCPs and specialists to ensure seamless continuity of care across their care journey.

What’s included in a Sollis membership?

All Sollis members receive 24/7 access to unlimited in-center visits, on-demand virtual care, on-site imaging and labs for rapid diagnostics, expedited specialist referrals, care navigation that coordinates with their primary care provider (PCP) and other medical providers, hospital advocacy, and travel support. When clinically indicated, frequently performed procedures are also included in membership, including routine blood work, sutures, orthopedic splinting, wound care, breathing treatments, and more. For an additional fee, Sollis members also have access to premium services like advanced imaging and house calls, which are included in Sollis Platinum, our most comprehensive plan.

Are Sollis centers open 24/7?

In every Sollis region (New York and the Hamptons, Northern California, Southern California, and South Florida), there is one Flagship center that is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, in every region. While the other 9 Sollis centers have a range of business hours, our virtual care is available 24/7 for answer medical questions, schedule appointments, and coordinate care with other providers if you're unable to reach a Sollis Flagship.

What blood work is included in my membership?

All routine laboratory tests are included in your membership at no additional cost. This includes a wide variety of hematology, chemistry, cardiac, infectious disease, and point-of-care testing (e.g., CBC, lipid panel, strep/flu/RSV, glucose, troponin) to cover most clinical needs. For members who need more advanced diagnostics—such as specialty panels, allergy testing, or cancer screening—Sollis offers these services in-house for an additional fee. A full menu of advanced testing is available, and our team will always review any costs with you in advance.

Will I see the same doctor every time?

Our physicians work in a team-based model, so you may not always see the same doctor at each visit. However, every Sollis provider is emergency medicine-trained and carefully selected for their clinical expertise and bedside manner. Your complete medical history is available in our secure records, so whichever physician you see can pick up exactly where the last one left off.

Do you administer vaccines?

Yes. Sollis offers many common vaccines-including flu, COVID, tetanus, and travel-related vaccines-in our centers.

Do you offer IV services?

Yes. Sollis offers clinically indicated IV hydration and select vitamin therapies in our centers, particularly for dehydration, illness recovery, or acute medical needs. IVs such as saline (for hydration), antibiotics, and steroids are included in your membership, while vitamin infusions may have additional out-of-pocket fees. If additional specialty IV services are required, we'll connect you with trusted providers in our network.

Does Sollis replace the emergency room?

Sollis physicians can expertly care for about 95% of cases typically seen in an emergency room. The difference? You're seen almost immediately by an empathetic clinical team with the time and resources to provide truly personalized care. Less than 1% of Sollis patients require transfer to a hospital or ER, compared with 7-10% at most urgent care centers. There are certain situations where a traditional ER is still necessary: major trauma (such as high-impact motor vehicle accidents), acute heart attacks and strokes requiring immediate specialized care, or life-threatening bleeding requiring rapid blood transfusion. If you're unsure whether to come to Sollis or go to the ER, you can always call us and immediately speak with a provider who can guide you. Please note that EMS teams are licensed to transport patients only to hospital ERs, so if you call 911, they will take you directly to the ER. When hospitalization or surgery is required, we coordinate the next step of care. Whenever possible, we work to directly admit you to a hospital bed, bypassing the ER entirely. If an ER visit is required, Sollis prepares the way by communicating with the ER team, coordinating with specialists, and sending your evaluation and test results ahead of time to ensure a seamless transition. For example, if you go to the ER with abdominal pain, your combined wait in triage, waiting rooms, and diagnostic work-ups could be up to eight hours. As a Sollis member, you're immediately placed in a private room where an experienced clinical team begins your evaluation, provides symptom relief, and completes your diagnostic work-up, including labs and CT imaging—all typically in just over one hour. If a surgical condition is diagnosed, we connect you with a leading surgeon at the hospital of your choice and coordinate either direct admission or an expedited ER transfer, with the surgeon already engaged and your results shared in advance.
